Main theme Social Media Data and Beyond

Goals The International Conference on Emerging Databases is an annual forum for exploring technologies, novel applications, and research of emerging database fields. Using this forum, researchers and practitioners can exchange current issues, challenges, new technologies, and practical experiences. The seventh International Conference on Emerging Databases - Technologies, Applications, and Theory (EDB2017) will focus on social media data management and analytics, data mining, and big data, etc. which are taking much attraction from computer science in addition to many other fields. The EDB2017 will be held at Pukyong National University, Busan, Korea. Authors are invited to submit original and research papers addressing technical issues, solutions, and technologies in emerging database fields. All submissions will be peer-reviewed by the members of the international program committee. All accepted papers will be published in an LNEE (Scopus) conference proceeding with ISBN number.

Related Topics The topics of interest for EDB 2017 include (but are not limited to):

  • Data science and analytics
  • Data mining/knowledge discovery
  • Social media and big data
  • Graph database and graph mining
  • Stream data management
  • Data warehousing
  • Information retrieval and text mining
  • Advanced database applications
